No Doubt Pulls 'Looking Hot' Video and Issues Apology

After outcry from the Native community over the cowboys-and-indians theme of their latest video, "Looking Hot," the band No Doubt has pulled the video from YouTube and issued an apology on their official website,

The band's statement reads as follows:

As a multi-racial band our foundation is built upon both diversity and consideration for other cultures. Our intention with our new video was never to offend, hurt or trivialize Native American people, their culture or their history. Although we consulted with Native American friends and Native American studies experts at the University of California, we realize now that we have offended people. This is of great concern to us and we are removing the video immediately. The music that inspired us when we started the band, and the community of friends, family, and fans that surrounds us was built upon respect, unity and inclusiveness. We sincerely apologize to the Native American community and anyone else offended by this video. Being hurtful to anyone is simply not who we are.

Of course, the band apologized after-the-fact it was released. It's just the same stuff when a person does something wrong knowingly, and got caught.

Yeah right. Consulted with WHAT Native American to produce something like that? Where was that trash even filmed? Some place called Twinkie-ville. Nauseating.

Interesting to NOTE (from a ICTMN article: "15 Rockers" who dress up Indian regalia and/or costume) a great majority of these music ENTERTAINERs are Democrats and/or Progressive-types who profess "public sentiments" for EVERY_BODY including the White-man, BUT go out of their way to express them-selves. Funny how these 'artists' can jump on a political band-wagon of racial-equality and out of STUPIDITY and/or DISREGARD turn around and exploit American customs and traditions. I too am tired of these progressive types who on one hand tell the public what is good/better for them, but yet turn around and exploit a people. Interesting to watch and hear the next group of ill-informed, unadvised Democratic Progressive using Indian culture....AGAIN... >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> APOLOGIES DONT MEAN SQUAT ANYMORE - how about donating $1 million dollars to American Indian Educational Scholarships to young American Indians? $1 million dollars in donations is FAR MORE than the $25,000 thousand that "American Indian Brother" Johnny Depp gave to the Navajo Nation Government! With as much value and worth that Johnny Depp is I would've thought at least $100, 000, at the minimum. Actors/Musicians who align themselves with Democratic progressive politics need to put up the money of worthy value OR SHUT the heck up!

Misunderstood Indigenous? … this is just more of the same: Remember Outkast’s Grammy performance of Hey Ya! or the latest video from Lana Del Rey. We’re gettin played and they’re getting paid.
