NTC's 2nd Annual Honorary Graduation Powwow Is Open, Calling All Dancers


Navajo Technical College will be hosting its Second Annual Honorary Graduation Powwow and Gourd Dance at its Crownpoint, New Mexico, campus this Saturday, May 4.

Registration for the event begins at 9:00 a.m. The gourd dance begins at 10:00 a.m. and lasts until a lunch break at noon. Following lunch, the gourd dance will resume from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Grand entry for the pow wow will begin at 5:30 p.m., with the open intertribal pow wow beginning at 6:00 pm.

The head male dancer for the pow wow is Matthew Dearly and the head female dancer is Utania Nelson. Vendors are welcome to the pow wow, but there is a $15 charge.
