Eleanor Shirley Confirmed as Navajo Nation Associate Justice

Navajo Nation Supreme Court recently announced the confirmation of Eleanor Shirley as the permanent Associate Justice. Shirley received the oath of office by Window Rock District Court Judge Carol Perry after the Navajo Nation Council confirmed the appointment on October 19.

Shirley who was given her probationary role as Associate Justice on June 27, 2008 by then President Joe Shirley, received confirmation for a probationary period by the Navajo Nation Council on July 24, 2008.

Navajo Nation law 7 N.N.C. § 355, states “an Associate Justice is appointed by the President of the Navajo Nation and confirmed by the Council. A justice must serve a two-year probationary period. At the conclusion of the probationary term, the record and qualifications of the probationary justice are reviewed by the Law and Order Committee, which then issues its recommendation to the President.”

On July 27, the Law and Order Committee gave its recommendation in favor of Shirley for permanent appointment, and President Ben Shelly filed a formal appointment letter on August 29.

Shirley was a district court judge at Crownpoint Judicial District prior to the appointment in 2008, and has more than 30 years of judicial experience. She has been a member of the Navajo Bar Association, in good standing, since December of 1977 and is a graduate of Fort Lewis College with a bachelor’s degree in political science.

I have mine all ready to submit. However, aimussng a story is told in a specific order, how do the individual pictures need to be labelled. 04 is my club number. My large print is a montage' labelled Story in 4 Pictures 04 . Each print is labelled with the Name 04 and the story position number. My digital entries are in two folders:-1011FIRSTName04 and 1011SECONDName04FIRSTName contains files A1011Name04.jpg, B1011Name04.jpg, C .etc.A,B,C and D denoting the order of the pictures rather than 1,2,3 & 4 to ensure they are sorted in that order in Irfanview.GavinWTo avoid possible disqualification due to defective labelling please give comments and possibly an aye' or nay' to the above. This comment is not meant to be either facetious or humorous.
