2011 Indigenous Day of Remembrance

On October 9, the fourth Indigenous Day of Remembrance was celebrated by many. This video shows the celebration that was held at Merchant's Gate across from Columbus Circle in New York City, where there is a monument in honor of Christopher Columbus, which was erected in 1892. The even was organized by a small group of area activists and led by Luis "Iukibuel" Ramos, Taino.

Wow, I was way too busy focusing on issues in other countries to realize the real war is here !! I LOVE the information this site has. Native Americans have struggled way too much !! Like a prisoner awaiting justice. You can take my freedom, but not my heart and soul. I gelieve that to be native pride!!!!! Knowledge is power!!!
