Of the bell curve that is humanity, only a small, outer senmget has the depth of respect for life that you're writing about. Farmers, especially, are uber protective of their crop or herd and will kill to protect their livelihood. I don't think they feel the need to research methods to trap and move what they consider to be pests, nor will they actively differentiate between similar, confusable enemies (think of the dolphin/porpoise debacle that effectively ended the tuna industry in san diego).We are farmers.We are meat eaters.We are conquerers.And we do not, for the most part, worship *ALL* life. That makes us as human as your counterpoint. Just sayin'.
