The setting was a distant land and seemed to have been in South America, such as the falkland islands, which I understood at the time to be the "folk-land islands." The people whom the priest was referring to in that distant land were a people that he and his fellow priests had been colonizing. Who those people were was never specified in the dream, but they could have been any people who have suffered from colonization, such as our originally free and independent nations and peoples of North America.
