As a wife of a cherokee whos Dawes partial of land ended up in a white mans hand which is against the treaties. We first set his ancester on the trail of tears, sent his aunties to boarding schools and his deaf brother to a mental instatution of abuse in Pauls Valley Oklahoma. This is not ancient history and Native families are harmed everyday by the Goverment while we teach children about thanksgiving and the pilgrams. We need to honor the treaties and admit this country was built on Crimes against Humanity. What can we do to stop the disrespect of the original land owners of this entire country. Respect their rights to clean water, justice under the law, and give back the lands in the original treaties. Its the least we can do.I personally can say I am truly sorry and will never forget the truth.
