Memorial Day marked the unofficial beginning of summer (the actual day is June 21), and many families in Indian Country are making vacation plans to travel by plane, train, car or by foot.
But maybe all the hoopla about traveling to the swankiest places in Europe, or the most exotic locals in Asia and Africa, are not your thing. Perhaps, you’d prefer to take a 30-minute walk (Little Big Horn is located within the Crow Indian Reservation) to a site with beautiful historic reverence right in Indian Country, and instead, just carry a picnic basket and a walking stick.
