Even though pow wow season is over, ICTMN can still celebrate 2013 pow wows through pictures.

Earlier this year, Northland College came up with a unique way to celebrate Native culture during their 39th Annual Spring Powwow. The school provided a photo booth for attendees to take photos and share them with their friends and family. The pow wow took place in Ashland, Wisconsin.

Family members and friends posted comments on the school’s Facebook page, such as “fierce” and “gorgeous.”

Northland launched its Native American Studies Department in 1973 and expanded programs in 2011 with the creation of the Native American and Indigenous Culture Center.

NAICC programs encourage and support Native American students who wish to pursue bachelor’s degrees, and serves as a place for cultural exchange between the college, tribal, and regional communities.

Enjoy the photos!
