Ali Bonta and Shane Murray said they were getting gas at this QuikStop when three men drove by slowly, then got out of their car holding a bat. The Bontas were told by the Federal Bureau of Investigation that the videotape from the gas station has been confiscated.

Johnny and Lisa Bonta said they made repeated calls to Lyon County Sheriff's Office to locate their car after it was towed from the crime scene. The police allegedly never told them where their car was.

Johnny Bonta and Shane Murray ended the attack by walking away into a nearby field at the urging of Lisa Bonta while waiting for police to arrive. They stress they did not try to evade police and met an officer on the other side of the field.

Contrary to statements made that the Bontas’ “crashed” their car into the car driven by Jacob Cassell, close-up photos taken from the towing yard indicate no substantial damage.

The towing yard where the Bontas eventually found their car is not visible from the highway and has no sign indicating it is a towing business. It is situated behind an abandoned business in Fernley, Nevada.

Seven weeks after Johnny, Lisa and Alyssa Bonta and Shane Murray were allegedly attacked in an apparent hate crime the family walks ICTMN through a reenactment of the events that happened on May 24th in Fernely, Nevada.
