ABOUT THE SUBJECT: James Jones is Cree From Tall Cree First Nations in northern Alberta who fuses together dance styles such as men's Fancy, tradition hoop dance, and b-boying to create a cutting edge contemporary style of movement on stage. James has performed all over the world with his dance act, and is currently on tour with the DJ trio Tribe Called Red. He's an advocate healthy living and spiritual healing through the arts and has started a new youth empowerment company called TraditionILL where he has built a team of artists ready to travel to communities and share their message of "respect your spirit". Thosh is an award-winning photographer and fitness enthusiast from Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community and a board member of the Native Wellness Institute. He studies Indigenous principles of health, well-being and nutrition and puts them into a modern-day context in a discipline called "Hybridized Indigenous Wellness."
