When all was said and done, judges picked Jackie Bread's "Memory Keeper" as the best piece of the 92nd annual Santa Fe Indian Market.

Bread, Blackfeet, confessed she was stunned when she heard that her piece, which depicts her ancestors rendered in beads, had won the top prize. “It probably won’t register until I get back to Montana,” Bread told the Santa Fe New Mexican. “It doesn’t seem quite right.”
