From the pages of This Week From Indian Country Today come images of wonder, triumph, pride and historical significance. This was 2011 in pictures. We’ve seen a lot in these past 12 months, as you can deduce from the recaps of the year’s biggest news stories elsewhere in this issue. But here, pause for a moment of visual reflection. As always, Natives were confronting and communing with nature all over Turtle Island—and indeed, all over the world. Here we see Native traditions staying strong, the Native love of life undiminished, Native art and accomplishment reaching ever higher levels and Natives, as always, walking in two worlds.
