Two children died March 21 in a house fire on the reservation. Michael Simmons, 3, and Kyle Simmons, 2, died in the fire that began about 7:40 a.m., fire officials said. The owners of the house were away attending a funeral in White Swan, officials said. The fire occurred in Georgeville, a community about five miles north of Goldendale. The cause of the fire was not immediately available. The Yakama tribal fire department was investigating.
