The President of the Navajo Nation joined Hopi leaders this week in assailing environmentalists who have sought to block or shut down coal-fired power plants considered vital to the economic future of northern Arizona tribes. On Monday, the Hopis' Tribal Council adopted a resolution telling the Sierra Club and several other conservation organizations to stay off the reservation.
