Marshall man hits $274,000 jackpot at FireKeepers
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – FireKeepers Casino in Battle Creek, Mich., owned by the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi, recently announced that a $274,000 jackpot was hit by a Marshall, Mich. resident on Feb. 27.
Donald Kujawa struck the second largest jackpot since FireKeepers Casino’s opening in August of 2009 by playing a penny Super Grand Hotel Monopoly game. Kujawa, a general manager of a janitorial service, was initially in shock and looked to his neighbor to see if the jackpot was real.
“My first reaction was ‘holy [expletive].’”
Kujawa plans on continuing to work after winning this life changing jackpot, “I may take a couple vacation days though.”
“FireKeepers Casino is proud to have yet another large jackpot to add to our list of winners,” said R. Bruce McKee, FireKeepers general manager. “This recent winning streak is building into our biggest promotion to date; in March one lucky winner will receive a lifestyle changing prize, a brand new home.”
