Senate President Bob Burns is killing House-passed legislation designed to block the Tohono O'odham Nation from building a casino on the edge of Glendale. Burns told Capitol Media Services he will not schedule the legislation for a hearing. That effectively quashes HB 2297 which got out of the House earlier this month with the bare minimum 31 votes required for approval.
