State Indian Affairs director Jennifer Perez Cole is leaving her cabinet-level position in Gov. Brian Schweitzer's office to take a new job with the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Cole, 32, will be the public affairs specialist, outreach coordinator and state civil rights coordinator for the USDA Farm Service Agency in Montana. In her new role, Cole will be responsible for communication with the public concerning FSA's programs.
