Turning Stone Resort Championship and Buffalo Bills kick off partnership
VERONA, N.Y. – The Buffalo Bills are teaming up with the Turning Stone Resort Championship, forming a relationship between two of the premier sports franchises in the Northeast.
The Turning Stone Resort Championship is scheduled for Aug. 2 – 8 at the Oneida Nation’s Atunyote Golf Club. The tournament runs during the heart of the PGA TOUR’s FedEx Cup season, while the Bills will be at their training camp at St. John Fisher College in Pittsford, N.Y. preparing for another NFL season.
One of the annual highlights of Championship week is the Pro-Am, with PGA TOUR players teeing it up with amateur golfers. This year’s event on Aug. 4 will be officially titled “The Buffalo Bills Pro-Am.” Four celebrity guest Buffalo Bills alumni, led by former All-Pro special teams player Steve Tasker, will be playing in the Pro-Am. Fans will have an opportunity to interact with and ask questions during a pre-round Q&A of the Bills participants. The Buffalo Jills Cheerleaders will also be making a special guest appearance on Wednesday to cheer on the golfers.
“Turning Stone Resort is delighted to enter into this partnership with the Buffalo Bills,” said Ray Halbritter, Oneida Nation Representative and CEO of Nation Enterprises. “We are pleased to be associated with such a fine organization that has attracted loyal fans from throughout the country during its remarkable history. While the Turning Stone Resort Championship prepares to embark on its fourth year, we look forward to working with the Buffalo Bills in presenting an event that will make all of Upstate New York proud.”
Spectators at Atunyote throughout Championship week will also have a chance to enjoy the family-friendly Buffalo Bills Fan Zone, including Bills-related interactive displays. This newly expanded area will also feature other great activities including the CNY PGA Learning Center with hitting nets for fans to work on their golf swing and a 9-hole putting challenge presented by U.S. Kids Golf.
The Turning Stone Resort Championship provides complimentary admission for children 12 and under to attend with a ticketed adult. A special family package offer, featuring two adult tickets, two youth credentials and two kids’ meal vouchers along with VIP parking for only $60, is available by calling the box office at (315) 361-7469.
