This Sunday under auspices of the National Park Service, the Chinook Indian Tribe will be helping re-enact one of the great events in Pacific Northwest history. Earlier this year, Washington State Democrats unanimously resolved to support federal recognition of the tribe. But it remains to be seen if Congress will take notice of these strong signs, and act.
