Petoskey graduate dies in rollover accident in Wisconsin
A 2009 graduate of Petoskey High School was killed Sunday in a single-vehicle rollover accident in Menominee County, Wis. According to Det. Dave Wynos with the Menominee Tribal Police, the accident occurred around 1:45 p.m. on Nov. 14, when a vehicle, traveling west on County Road M, near County Road WW, on the Menominee Indian Tribe Reservation, lost control and rolled. Wynos said 19-year-old David Joshiah "Wahpananah" (Morning Star) Shawano, 19, of Neopit, who was a passenger of this vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
