If the weather cooperates, tribal leaders from the Bay Mills Casino and Resort, which opened a new casino in Vanderbilt Nov. 3, hope a new 1,400-square-foot addition under construction there will be ready for business by the third week of January. Bay Mills spokesperson Shannon Jones said Monday local contractors broke ground Dec. 1 on the new addition which will more than double the size of the 1,200-square-foot gaming facility, which currently houses 38 slot machines since it opened one month ago.
