Ready for some powwow fun this weekend?

We've put together a list of a few awesome powwows happening all across the nation this weekend just for you!

If one of these exciting events is located near you, we recommend heading over to enjoy some lively dancing and drumming, thrilling musical performances, and delicious, authentic foods!

9th Annual Ancestors Memorial Gourd Dance & Pow Wow, Missouri

When & Where: October 20th at the Benson Convention & Exposition Center in Clinton, Missouri.

Festivities begin at 11AM on Saturday with an hour of Gourd dancing. Throughout the day dancers will compete in categories like Fancy Shawl, Jingle Dress, Men’s Straight, and more for cash prizes ranging from $100 - $250. Powwow goers will also enjoy delicious authentic Native American concessions including Fry Bread. For more information about this event, click here.

Silverhawk Native American Flute Gathering, Florida

When & Where: October 20th – 21st at the Withlacoochee River Park in Dade City, Florida.

This annual event continues to showcase some of the most talented flute player and makers in Florida. In addition to incredible flute performances, weekend festivities will include crafts, workshops, barbequing and camping.  For more information about this event, click here.

8th Annual Hunting Moon Pow Wow, Wisconsin

When & Where: October 19th – 21st at the Potawatomi Bingo Casino in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Doors open at 3PM on Friday and 10AM on Saturday and Sunday. Your grand entry will be at 6PM Friday, 1PM and 7PM on Saturday, and 12PM on Sunday. Competitors will be dueling it out for over $90,000 in prize money. Competitions will include dancing such as “Old Time” Women’s Scrub and Men’s Woodland Style, as well as drumming and singing competitions. For more information about this event, click here.

Alligator Warrior Festival, Florida

When & Where: October 19th – 21st at the O’Leno State Park in High Springs, Florida.

According to their website, the Alligator Warrior Festival is a non-profit event put on each year in remembrance of the “years between 1800 and 1859, when Lake City Florida was still called Alligator, Florida, and in memory of its most famous resident, the Seminole commander, Alligator Warrior, and to reenact the 1836 Battle of San Felasco Hammock.” For more information about this event, click here.
