Navajo Technical University Evacuates After Flooding

Flooding in the Crownpoint, New Mexico area caused the Navajo Technical University to evacuate its Crownpoint campus September 13. A number of the roads leading the to university were flushed out and several cars became stuck.

The university’s administration building, student services building and several family housing units have been washed out. No injuries have been reported and school is expected to resume on Monday. Students from the family housing units are being tended to and relocted.
