Father's Day Weekend Pow Wow Planner

It is Father’s Day weekend, which means this is the perfect time to take dad to a pow wow near you!

And for the occasion, ICTMN found the perfect pow wow for dads in Carson City, Nevada. The Sesquicentennial Stewart Father’s Day Pow Wow is open to the public, and according to their web site, it is geared to generate support and funding for the establishment of the Stewart Indian Cultural Center.

Nevada’s neighboring state, Utah, will host the Heber Valley Pow Wow which is “one of the most spectator friendly and picturesque Native American events in the country.” The pow wow starts at 5:00p.m. on June 13.

Moving to the North East, dads can celebrate at the 146th Annual White Earth Nation Powwow in Minnesota. There is a 5K Run/Walk on Saturday and there will be plenty of vendors and area artisans displaying their work for purchase. This powwow is free and open to the public.
