Watch: Ty Thompson Scores First Goal as a Major League Lacrosse Player
Ty Thompson certainly “carried the fire” when he scored his first career goal as a Major League Lacrosse player on July 17.
Thompson, who plays for the Rochester Rattlers, helped his team to a 10-7 win over the Chesapeake Bayhawks. His first career goal came in the 4th quarter when he fired a shot past the Bayhawks Goalie Tyler Fiorito.
The rookie told MDSportsInsider.com that it was finally good to get on the lineup.
“Now that I’ve got that first goal, I just want to go out there again and play,” he told a reporter about how he felt after scoring his first goal. “It just comes with confidence.”
Thompson, whose Native American name is DAYODAGONAY, which means “He Carries the Fire,” signed with the Rattlers earlier this year.
