Former Office Manager Sentenced for Embezzling From Tribes

A former tribal enterprise office manager was sentenced for embezzlement on December 10 by Chief United States District Judge Vicki Miles-LaGrange.

Robin Jean Bitseedy, a 41 year-old Anadarko, Oklahoma native will serve 12 months and one day in federal prison and is ordered to pay $141,820.47 in restitution to the Wichita and Affiliated, Caddo, and Delaware Tribes.

Bitseedy worked for the Wichita, Caddo, Delaware Enterprises, Inc. (WCD Enterprises), according to court records. Bitseedy used her position, where she had access to tribal funds, to embezzle money from December 2007 through June 3, 2013.

Bitseedy, who pled guilty, admitted to using the company’s Walmart credit card for personal use without permission and wrote checks to herself with forged signatures. She admitted to using the money to purchase gift cards and items for family and pay the rent and bills for her family.

Bitseedy was initially charged on August 11, and pled guilty on August 28. At her sentencing hearing she was ordered to begin her sentence on January 9, 2015.
