Trump Has Gone 'Off the Reservation,' Clinton Says; Sanders Campaign Calls the Comment 'Disappointing'

Simon Moya-Smith

Democratic presidential front runner Hillary Clinton used a term offensive to Native Americans in her description of Donald Trump.

On Friday, Clinton describe the Republican front runner as being "off the reservation" with his comments against her.

"I have a lot of experience dealing with men who sometimes get off the reservation in the way they behave and how they speak," Clinton said on CNN's "The Lead" with Jake Tapper.

The Bernie Sanders campaign called Clinton's choice of words "disappointing."

"I find it very disappointing. Anyone with a true understanding of the fundamental issues facing tribal communities today would never use that phrase in that context," Nicole Willis (Confederated Tribes of Umatilla), Sanders's National Tribal Outreach Director, wrote in message to ICTMN on Friday.

The derivation of the offensive term comes from the 19th century when the U.S. confined Native Americans to prison camps, today known as reservations. The phrase was used to identify "hostile" Native Americans who were found outside of reservation boundaries.

Tapper later agreed during an interview with professor and pundit Nina Turner that the term Clinton used is highly offensive.

The Clinton campaign has not responded to ICTMN's request for comment.

That's why Clinton was made an honorary member of the UKB because they're all racist and hate all the real indians.

Hillbillary and her subliminal appeals to prejudice are nothing new. For fact, she's a southern democrat and so is her husband. Furthermore, so was his vice president, Al Gore - the "daddy" loving son of a ranking kkk clansman who repeatedly voted against civil rights acts. "If you can't beat them, lead them (right off a cliff)." ~ Al Gore. There's no reason at all to vote for a habitualy criminaly neglegent candidate. Why on earth would anyone loath Bernie? He's so delicately putting it that Hillbillary cant even put national security above her 2016 presidential bid. Google "Guccifer" Hillary, for fact, was the Whitehouse leak from Obama's first term. Why didn't she government wipe her server and only "delete" instead? She worked for the State Department as the Secretary of State! We're just supposed to think she doesn't know how to wipe a server? Attempting to "delete" like it would have any efficacy would be criminal and negligence. She should have taken the hit for the country, destroyed it, and waited patiently for a pardon. Was she just too guttless and stupid, or didn't she want to have to ask Obama for a pardon? Since she didn't destroy it, they can't say Guccifer faked the intel he took from her server. This stuff is highly damaging to our national security folks. Why she's even allowed to run could only be so she can be a dead duck in the water for whoever wins the Republican nomination. You might hate Bernie for frivolous reasons, but he's your only hope for anything resembling a Democrat in 2016. Hillbillary is either criminally negligent or competently criminal. Either the leaks are the fkup they look like or she was selling top level State Department and CIA transmissions by transmitting over unsecured networks. Which is it, Criminal negligence or competent criminality? Does it matter? Throw these self-pardoning Hillbillarys under a bus already! The totality of hillbillary's issue isn't just sending classified intel to eastern european hackers. There's also money laundering, insider trading, and criminal destruction of evidence(short list). She is literaly running for president for her life. Nothing but a presidential pardon from a trusted vp will save her sorry ass now. Just whether or not her competing candidates would pardon Hillbillary has become an election issue in and of itself! The fbi isn't exactly trying to be ready to finish their investigation before the primary finishes. But I bet you can be sure to see charges before the end of the year. Google "Guccifer" and "fbi hillary, no rush." Tell ya something else, I wouldn't want to be one of her "geriatric-egg on face" supporters when she's disqualified the day before super tuesday. Her intransigent misandrists are making themselves, and us all, look like fools in front of the most misogynistic countries in the world. Misandry and pederasty are seemingly interrelated! HILLBILLARY - 2016: "Because, at this point, what does national security matter anyway?"

I am strongly insulted by Hilary Clinton's reference...although I am also concerned for the continued ignorance that seems to be escalating in the political arena. It is critical that we continue to be united in defending our cultural freedoms and future of our Peoples. We can not bow down to ignorance...neither can we become it...

What Clinton said was wrong. She is a racist. She tells people what she wants them to hear to get their vote and that's the end of it.

Whites' usage of Aboriginal terms is used to insult or disparage other whites. It stems from the formative days of the Reservation policy. Government reneges on its agreements, former braves with an "anti-white ax to grind" (ie. Geronimo, Crazy Horse) would turn renegade and leave the reservation against the will of chiefs like Cochise or Sitting Bull to torment innocent civilians, which of course, pissed off the Army. That's what it means to refer to whites as "leaving the reservation". They're not acting like normal whites and are renegade. Trump is not acting "American politics as usual" and it's scaring the hell out of those who'd lose their cushy jobs if he gets elected. He's vowed to push for "Term Limits" which would keep the same people in office for decades sapping up tax money and getting nothing done.

Which only reminds everybody that the "pick" of the Demokratic ticket is going to be Clinton and all her "offenses" to wannabes, undocumented native types, and Bernie supporters. Meanwhile, legitimate (enrolled/registered) have no issue considering they still to raise the family, go to work, pay the bills, and contend with wages and salaries and an economy that has been stagnent for 8 years.

There is another interesting situation whites use that comes from an Aboriginal war-chief. I wish I could remember his name but he was the one who said "the white man's army can't be beaten because they have too many chiefs". Of course he was referring to the army's command structure which means an army keeps fighting even when the leader is killed. There's always another to replace him. White have taken that to themselves to explain why nothing gets done when they say "Too many chiefs and not enough Indians". Too many people are telling others what to do when they have no authority to. I use that myself when a supervisor at work tries to get me to take short cuts. I tell him, "that's not what Cochise said to do, Geronimo"! I'm telling him he's being too damned bossy.

WTH Hilary! How disappointing.. By her choice of words she has no respect for me or my family who live on our reservation. She was my favorite candidate until now. Those are the words of a dictator and offensive. We are free to come and go as we please and this is 2016, not 1816.

The last thing our people need is an ignorant verbal bash from the potential next president. She says she will stand up for what she thinks the American people need and want in the next president. I guess that leaves our people out because this was NOT an inclusive thought or statement. Are we also not Americans? Again I was reminded that we are the invisible people. How does she think our young people will feel in listening to her words? Do they not matter in her eyes and heart? Do we not exist? I guess not.. really lowers my thoughts of supporting her as the next President. TERRIBLE IGNORANT WORDS.

The word "reservation" refers to public lands that the federal government has withdrawn from sale or settlement for specific public uses, e.g., schools, parks, forests, military bases, or the use of Native Americans. In other words, it refers to land not people.
