The 18th Annual Sand Creek Massacre Spiritual Healing Run/Walk began November 24 at the Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site in Kiowa County, Colorado and ended on November 27 in Denver, Colorado.

The annual event is sponsored by the Northern Cheyenne Tribe of Montana, the Northern Arapaho Tribe of Wyoming, and the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes (Oklahoma) in order to honor the victims and survivors of the Sand Creek Massacre and to heal ancestral homelands. This year’s event marks the 152nd year since the massacre. More than 100 participants walked or ran from the historic site to Denver.
