Hereditary Chief Phil Lane, who was born at the Haskell Indian School in Lawrence, Kansas and is the current Chairman of Four Worlds International Institute, participated in the Global Canoe as the Paris Agreement was being signed at the United Nations in New York City on Earth Day, April 22.
Lane has worked with indigenous people from all over the Americas, to India, South East Asia, Africa and Hawaii. His work has contributed greatly to education and the resistance of assimilation, and resignation.
