Striker Chris Wondolowski, Kiowa, played in the 87th minute of Team USA’s game against Portugal on June 23, 2014. It was Wondo first appearance in the FIFA 2014 World Cup, but the Americans were unable to hold on to their 2-1 lead, tying Portugal 2-2 in the 90th minute.

Wondolowski did not get to play in the USMNT’s game against Ghana, which the US won 2-1. But, Wondolowski could be the replacement for Jozy Altidore (who pulled his left hamstring in their first match) in USA’s game against Germany.
