Indian Gaming Organizations to Join Forces in London at ICE Totally Gaming

Three Indian gaming organizations, along with Victor Rocha, editor of the Native news site, are joining forces at a tradeshow in London to build a bridge between Europe and Indian country to seek business opportunities.

ICE (International Casino Exhibition) Totally Gaming will take place February 2-4 and is anticipated to attract more than 25,000 attendees. The networking and tradeshow event, themed "Technopolis," will be held at ExCeL London, an exhibitions and international convention center. The creative hub is surrounded by hotels, venues, restaurants and attractions.

ICE 2016 attendees can navigate the schedule and exhibition floor with the Totally Gaming (TG) app, available for download through the Apple app store, Google play or 5 HTML.

The Indian gaming groups — National Indian Gaming Association (NIGA), Arizona Indian Gaming Association (AIGA) and Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association (OIGA) — will present an informative seminar series, produced by Rocha, during the tradeshow.

“NIGA, AIGA and OIGA are united in coming to ICE Totally Gaming for a very clear purpose: To let Europe know we are open for business and are actively seeking business opportunities,” said Ernie Stevens, Jr., NIGA chairman, in a press release. “ICE is the world’s largest and most important global casino industry tradeshow, and the world needs to understand that Tribal Gaming is an integral part of the global gaming landscape. We are coming to ICE to expand our enterprises, and we are actively seeking business partners who value the opportunities we have to offer.”

The presentation, “U.S. Tribal Gaming Seminar Series,” will offer an overview of the past history, present economic scope, and future business potential for gaming in Indian country.

NIGA, AIGA and OIGA will present on Tuesday, February 2 at the ExCel Centre South Gallery, rooms 9 & 10 from 10:25 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is free to all ICE Totally Gaming visitors.

“To do business in Indian country, it is imperative to have a full understanding of where we came from, where we are, and where we can go in the future. We carefully created this series to help attendees gain knowledge from the world’s leading experts, who have graciously volunteered their time to make this series a success,” seminar chair Rocha said.

The day-long seminar will additionally cover: sovereignty and unique aspects of tribal gaming, the 2016 politics of iGaming, business opportunities with Indian country, and how technology and innovation are reshaping Indian gaming and creating economic development opportunities. A leadership forum will address the top issues and opportunities in Indian country.
