Attention Muppet Lovers: The Jim Henson Company Wants Native Puppeteers!

The Jim Henson Company, founded by the late puppetry genius who created the Muppets, is accepting applications from aspiring puppeteers (and comedic actors) for an eight-week workshop. Workshop participants will be evaluated and may get the chance to join the Henson team.

The initiative is an effort to promote diversity in the field of puppetry. The invitation to audition is extended to men of certain ethnic backgrounds, including Native American. It's open to women of all backgrounds.

The following notice was posted to the official facebook.com/hensoncompany page:

REPEAT: Headshots and resumes should be sent to [email protected] by Friday, May 29, to receive consideration for the workshop.
